Our Client is a leading Fractional COO and outsourced operations firm that serves founder-led Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands. Their portfolio includes high-growth companies in the $2M--$20M revenue range across the Food & Beverage, Supplement, and Consumer Product sectors. They specialize in helping omni-channel brands streamline operations, reduce costs, and scale efficiently by managing complex co-manufacturing and 3PL relationships.
The Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced and high-impact Supply Chain Manager to support a growing portfolio of CPG clients. This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate will work directly alongside a Fractional COO to execute day-to-day operations. The role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking and tactical execution, managing everything from co-manufacturer production to seamless fulfillment across retail, wholesale, and e-commerce channels. This position is ideal for an entrepreneurial professional who thrives in fast-moving environments and possesses an obsessive attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Planning & Inventory Management
- Executes demand planning and forecasting across omni-channel sales to drive informed inventory and procurement decisions.
- Manages data accuracy within Cin7 Core (DEAR), ensuring the ERP system remains the "single source of truth" at all times.
- Coordinates complex operational workflows across Shopify, QuickBooks Online, and Cin7 inventory systems.
- Identifies supply chain risks and develops contingency plans tailored for lean, growth-stage brands.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Sources, evaluates, and manages relationships with co-manufacturers and co-packers to ensure production meets client requirements.
- Oversees 3PL partner relationships, monitors KPIs, and proactively resolves fulfillment or inventory discrepancies.
- Assists with S&OP processes, cost optimization initiatives, and vendor negotiations to improve client margins.
Logistics & Compliance
- Oversees inbound and outbound freight---including Small Parcel, LTL, and FTL---to minimize costs and transit times.
- Manages retailer and marketplace compliance, including GS1 barcode setup and SPS Commerce EDI integrations.
- Ensures seamless fulfillment for major platforms including Amazon FBA, TikTok Shop (FBT), and Walmart WFS.
Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies:
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated supply chain experience within the U.S. CPG industry (Food, Beverage, or Supplements preferred).
- Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Cin7 Core (DEAR), QuickBooks Online, and Shopify.
- Logistics Expertise: Deep understanding of Small Parcel, LTL, and FTL freight movements.
- Communication: Fluent English communication (written and verbal) is required to manage US-based vendors and stakeholders.
- Channel Knowledge: Proven experience managing Amazon FBA, Walmart WFS, and retail/wholesale compliance.
- AI Literacy: Proficiency using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) to improve workflow efficiency and output quality.
Tools & Systems Proficiency
- ERP/Inventory: Cin7 Core (DEAR)
- Finance: QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- E-commerce: Shopify (D2C & B2B)
- EDI/Compliance: SPS Commerce, GS1
- Productivity: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and AI Tools
