About the Role

Client is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support a portfolio of capital projects (up to ~$15M). This role is built for someone who lives and breathes schedules---not just updating timelines, but owning them.

You'll serve as the Scheduling Subject Matter Expert (SME), working closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, actionable, and reliable project schedules using Primavera P6.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules in Primavera P6
  • Build new schedules and manage updates across multiple projects
  • Participate in project meetings and incorporate real-time updates
  • Analyze schedule performance and identify risks or delays
  • Review and validate QA/QC scheduling reports
  • Communicate schedule changes, impacts, and critical milestones to stakeholders
  • Serve as the go-to expert for all scheduling-related questions

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Primavera P6
  • Proven experience supporting capital project scheduling
  • Strong understanding of scheduling concepts (critical path, float, dependencies)
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable leading discussions with large groups
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Utility or energy industry experience
  • Construction project scheduling background
  • Experience with Business Objects or reporting tools

What Makes You a Fit

  • You don't wait for updates---you chase them down
  • You can explain a broken schedule without hiding behind jargon
  • You're comfortable being the one people turn to when timelines start slipping
  • You balance detail with big-picture thinking

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work model (3 days onsite)
  • Highly collaborative team environment
  • Independent ownership of deliverables (no micromanagement, no hand-holding)
