Benefits Manager -- Retirement

Honeywell is seeking a Benefits Manager -- Retirement to lead a team administering retirement, pension, and savings/401K plans across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada. This role reports to the North America Benefits Director and is based in Charlotte, NC, with a hybrid work schedule.

The successful candidate will focus on improving user experience for current and former employees, driving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance, implementing legislative changes, and executing Honeywell's Retirement Benefits Strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and retain a strong, diverse, and high-performing team through hiring, development, engagement, motivation, and fostering an inclusive culture.
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of retirement benefits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Total Rewards, HR, Finance, Legal) to effectively administer retirement benefits programs.
  • Manage vendor relationships and drive performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead and deliver projects such as Supplier/System Changes, Retirement Integration/Separation for Acquisitions/Divestitures & SPINs, and execute changes in Benefits strategy.

This position is incentive eligible. The application period is estimated at 40 days from the posting date (May 6th, 2026), subject to change.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in benefits administration or a related field, with a focus on retirement benefits.
  • Strong knowledge of pension administration, savings plan/401K administration, and related compliance requirements, including a deep understanding of ERISA, IRS, Retirement, and DOL rules and regulations.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to clearly convey complex messages to various audiences.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a global and diverse organization.
  • Proficiency in navigating HR Services related technology for customer resolution.
  • Strong financial acumen, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Tools, with advanced Excel skills.
