Role Description

This part-time remote QA Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst Engineer role focuses on ensuring the reliability, usability, and quality of applications and systems used at Hospital de Clínicas do Ingá.

The role involves reviewing requirements and specifications, designing detailed test plans and test cases, executing manual tests, and documenting test results clearly and accurately. The QA professional will identify, track, and help prioritize defects, collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to verify fixes and validate new features.

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Regression testing, functional testing, and exploratory testing to detect issues early.
  • Contributing to process improvements and quality standards.
  • Participating in reviews and providing feedback on usability and performance.
  • Supporting the team in maintaining a consistent level of product quality.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Manual Testing, with practical experience ensuring software meets defined quality standards.
  • Proficiency in Test Execution and designing, maintaining, and running Test Cases across multiple scenarios and environments.
  • Solid Analytical Skills to interpret requirements, identify edge cases, troubleshoot defects, and propose clear, data-informed recommendations.
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar) and clear defect documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile or iterative methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage time effectively in a part-time schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing healthcare, hospital, or clinical systems and understanding of data privacy and security considerations.
  • Basic knowledge of automation concepts or scripting and willingness to learn test automation tools over time.
  • Relevant education or training in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
