Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and empower a team of Product Managers and Product Owners, ensuring clear role accountability, regular goal setting, and ongoing coaching.
  • Develop and maintain product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmaps for assigned Medicaid product lines.
  • Facilitate and ensure strong alignment across Agile Release Trains (ARTs), collaborating with Release Train Engineers, Solution Architects, and business owners.
  • Champion the adoption and maturity of Agile and Lean Portfolio Management practices.
  • Establish and oversee a robust validation framework across the Medicaid portfolio.
  • Oversee the intake, prioritization, and sequencing of product features and enablers using objective data.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on product performance metrics, member outcomes, and value realization.
  • Represent the Medicaid product portfolio in enterprise forums.
  • Proactively identify market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by coaching team members on Lean-Agile mindset.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and contractual requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive product management experience.
  • Team Leadership: Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience managing Product Managers or Product Owners within a complex, matrixed organization, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams of at least five (5) direct reports.
  • Talent Development: Experience coaching and mentoring product management professionals.
  • Strategic Execution: Demonstrated track record of translating enterprise and/or Medicaid strategies into product roadmaps, with clear examples of launching or optimizing at least two major product lines.
  • Enterprise Representation: Experience presenting and advocating for product portfolios in at least two enterprise-level planning or prioritization forums.
  • Agile & LPM Experience: Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and Lean Portfolio Management (LPM).
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Evidence of exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Process Improvement: Experience leading at least one process improvement initiative within product management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or related field.
  • Agile Certification: Active SAFe certification or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Healthcare & Medicaid Experience: Minimum of 2 years of product management experience in Medicaid or healthcare.
  • Scaled Agile Leadership: Experience leading or participating in three or more Agile Release Train (ART) or Lean Portfolio Management practices at scale.
  • Transformation & Innovation: Documented experience managing three or more large-scale product transformation initiatives.
  • Industry Insight: Demonstrated expertise in digital health, Medicaid industry trends, or emerging technologies.

Additional Information

  • Workstyle: This is a remote position.
  • Travel: Travel requirement of up to 10%.
  • Direct Reports: Up to 5 associates.
  • Pay Range: $138,900 - $191,000 per year (eligible for bonus incentive).
