The Financial Reporting Professional 2 prepares and distributes periodic financial statements for users other than those directly employed by our organization. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Lead, you will work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

The Financial Reporting Professional 2 ensures all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards and organization policies. You will prepare consolidation journal entries, eliminate intercompany transactions, and consolidate divisional and subsidiary financial accounts and provide an accurate basis for inclusion in internal and external financial statements. You must understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating goals, including their linkages to related areas. Additionally, you will make decisions regarding your own work methods, and receive guidance where needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • 2+ years of Finance work experience with demonstrated experience flux/variance analysis and financial reporting
  • Excel proficiency, as defined by the ability to alter macros, create and use pivot tables, formulas and v-look ups
  • Can accommodate EST or CST time zone working hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Power BI, SharePoint
  • SQL (writing queries, extract data into Excel)
  • Live within the EST or CST time zone
  • GAAP knowledge
  • Healthcare industry experience

Additional Information

  • Location: Remote Nationwide
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
  • Pay Range: $71,100 - $97,800 per year (eligible for bonus incentive plan)

Work at home requirements

  • To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service must meet the following criteria:
  • Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Leadership can only approve satellite, cellular and microwave connection if they use it.
  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide telephone equipment appropriate to meet our requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
  • While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
