The Senior CyberSecurity Engineer develops and tests information security tools, applications, and system solutions deployed in Humana. Oversees the design engineering and testing processes for Humana EIP products and works with relevant EIP stakeholders to drive products from design to volume production release. This role involves moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The engineer designs, oversees, and performs engineering tests that validate platform and product designs. May design and implement protocols and solutions designed to safeguard sensitive data from external/internal breach or attacks and implement relevant engineering updates to Humana information technology and information security infrastructures. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering of data protection products (e.g., Privacera).
- Understand and perform deployments on Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
- Create CI/CD pipelines on Azure environment.
- Perform risk assessments, follow and enhance the security solutions lifecycle (evaluation, purchase, build, technical policy configuration, integration into Cloud environments, and run).
- Contribute to Data Protection security solutions R&D to evaluate the latest cutting-edge tools against unfilled strategic security capabilities to drive business priorities.
- Act as a subject matter expert on the implementation and capabilities of existing security controls with a focus on Privacera.
- Identifies the need for new security technology solutions; designs, reviews and collaborates on the deployment of new solutions.
- Stays continually informed about the latest developments in the security field, including mitigation strategies, threats, tools, attack vectors, and cutting-edge preventative measures.
- Participates in new products or technology solutions supported by appropriate ROI, total cost of ownership, and/or cost benefit analyses.
- Performs technical proof of concepts.

Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in automation (PowerShell and/or Python or a similar language, beginner to intermediate level).
- 3 years experience with Security & Major Incident response.
- 3 years experience in Azure DevOps environment.
- 3 years experience in Azure monitoring.
- Ability to write shell scripts.
- Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of project sponsors and key stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbal.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong experience working in Agile environments.
- 3 years experience in a Cyber Security focused role.
Preferred Qualifications
- IT Industry certifications (Microsoft Certifications On-Prem or Cloud, Cisco, CISSP, CEH, Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in a technical related field.
- Experience performing security operations functions in cloud environments (Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Familiarity with common security controls in the enterprise (Firewall, Proxy, AV, SIEM, etc.).
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of security issues, techniques, and implications across multiple computer platforms.
- CISSP, CISM or equivalent.
- Access Controls.
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
- Developed and maintained scalable applications using Python, adhering to enterprise coding standards and security guidelines.
- Automated deployment pipelines and container orchestration leveraging Kubernetes.
- Implemented microservices architecture with Python, deploying services to Kubernetes clusters.
- Designed, tested, and optimized Python scripts for data processing and workflow automation within cloud-native environments.
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to manage Kubernetes resources, conduct performance tuning, and support CI/CD initiatives.

Remote/WAH Requirements
- Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
- Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed.
- A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel
While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
$117,600 - $161,700 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
