As the Medicaid Product Manager at Humana, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering innovative Medicaid solutions that enhance the lives of our members and drive business outcomes. This highly collaborative position involves hands-on product leadership, translating Medicaid and enterprise strategies into robust product plans and delivering measurable impact across our portfolio. Reporting to the Director, Medicaid Strategy Advancement, you will serve as a key liaison between stakeholders, technology teams, and business partners, leading the product lifecycle from concept through execution. Your expertise will help ensure our products meet regulatory requirements and raise the bar for quality, efficiency, and member satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for assigned Medicaid product lines, including strategy, planning, development, launch, and ongoing optimization.
  • Translate enterprise and Medicaid business strategies into actionable product roadmaps with clear objectives and success metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, compliance, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment and effective product delivery.
  • Participate in Agile Release Train (ART) ceremonies and work with Release Train Engineers, Solution Architects, and product owners to facilitate the delivery of high-value features and enhancements.
  • Conduct market and regulatory analysis to anticipate trends, identify opportunities for innovation, and inform product differentiation strategies.
  • Define, track, and report on product KPIs and member outcomes, using data to drive continuous improvement and strategic decisions.
  • Manage intake, prioritization, and sequencing of product initiatives, balancing short-term needs with long-term goals.
  • Ensure products adhere to regulatory and contractual requirements, partnering with legal, compliance, and operations teams, as necessary.
  • Represent product initiatives in internal forums, clearly communicating status, value, needs to leadership and partners.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by adopting best practices in product management, Agile, and Lean Portfolio Management.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of progressive product management experience.
  • 2 years managing all stages of the product lifecycle in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience launching or optimizing at least one significant product or product line (e.g., impacting multiple departments, >$250k scope) with measurable business or member outcomes.
  • Agile methodology experience including participation in PI planning, backlog management, and cross-functional Agile ceremonies.
  • Healthcare & Medicaid Experience: At least 1 year of product management experience in Medicaid or healthcare, with exposure to regulatory or compliance considerations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile Certification: Active SAFe, Scrum, or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Scaled Agile Experience: Participation in two or more Agile Release Train or Lean Portfolio Management practices.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field.
  • Innovation & Transformation: Experience contributing to large-scale product transformation initiatives (e.g., digital migration, new market entry).
  • Industry Insight: Awareness of digital health, Medicaid industry trends, or emerging technologies (e.g., EDI, payment integrity, provider connectivity).

Additional Information

  • Location: Remote Nationwide
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
  • Pay Range: $104,000 - $143,000 per year (plus bonus incentive plan).

Work at home requirements

  • Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps required.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
  • Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
