Principal Security Operations Analyst

About the Role

Huntress is seeking a Principal Security Operations Center Analyst to join our rapidly growing team in the United States. You will report to the Manager, Security Operations Center.

Responsibilities

• Triage, investigate, respond to, and remediate intrusions daily.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering their individual and team growth.
• Act as the lead liaison between the SOC and other Product and Research teams.
• Develop automation to reduce the SOC's workload.
• Independently own and complete investigative objectives for multi-host intrusions.
• Triage, investigate, and respond to alerts from the Huntress platform.
• Perform tactical forensic analysis to determine attack root causes and provide remediation.
• Conduct advanced malware analysis for system and identity investigations.
• Investigate suspicious Microsoft M365 activity and provide remediation.
• Assist the SOC Support team by engaging with customers via video/phone to explain observed activity.
• Contribute to detection efforts by creating or requesting new detections and tuning existing ones.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior team members.
• Contribute to external-facing Huntress content (blogs, webinars, presentations, speaking engagements).
