Accounts Payable Consultant | Remote or Greater DC Area
We're partnering with a rapidly growing, pre-IPO defense manufacturing company seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Consultant to provide immediate support. This will begin as a consulting engagement, with a strong possibility of converting to a full-time role based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Process and review vendor invoices
- Approve AP invoices and manage recurring bills
- Execute check runs, wires, online payments and NACHA files
- Maintain accurate payment documentation and resolve invoice issues
- Support prepaid amortization and monthly ASC 842 journal entries
- Assist with statutory filings and other accounting operations
- Partner closely with the existing AP lead to improve processes and support continued growth
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on accounts payable and accounting operations experience
- Advanced NetSuite proficiency
- Experience with invoice processing, payment execution and vendor management
- Organized, dependable and able to contribute with minimal ramp-up
- Available to begin quickly
