Following the retirement of a highly respected CEO who led the organization for more than 25 years, the Board is seeking a dynamic executive who can build upon a strong foundation while identifying new opportunities to increase membership, strengthen engagement, expand revenue streams, and elevate the organization's impact across the state.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven leader who enjoys building relationships, driving strategic initiatives, and serving as the public face of an influential organization.

  • Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and execute long-term growth initiatives
  • Drive membership recruitment, retention, and engagement efforts
  • Identify and implement new revenue-generating programs and partnerships
  • Serve as the organization's primary representative with business leaders, policymakers, regulators, and community stakeholders
  • Strengthen relationships throughout Delaware's business and professional communities
  • Oversee budgeting, financial stewardship, and organizational performance
  • Support advocacy initiatives and collaborate with external government affairs resources
  • Lead and develop a small internal team while fostering a culture of accountability and service
  • Build visibility and awareness of the organization's mission and value proposition

Qualifications

  • Executive leadership experience within an association, nonprofit, membership organization, chamber of commerce, professional services firm, or similar environment
  • Strong operational and business management experience
  • Demonstrated success driving organizational growth, membership engagement, fundraising, business development, or revenue generation
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with boards, committees, and external stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset coupled with hands-on execution abilities
  • Ability to serve as a visible and active leader throughout Delaware
  • CPA designation or accounting industry experience is welcomed but not required.
