Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6 years of Power BI reporting experience
  • Relational reporting, star schema modeling, etc
  • DBT (DBT Core / DBT Cloud) experience
  • SQL Development -- Creating objects, tables, analytical reports
  • Data Modeling & reporting
  • Snowflake or another cloud based data warehouse experience
  • Experience within ERP or CRM data stacks at an enterprise level
  • Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, Dynamics -- they use them all; mostly Salesforce

Plusses

  • Experience supporting digital engineering or mission‑focused products
  • Background in GPU‑based scalable computing
  • Aerospace or defense industry experience
  • Exposure to or experience with AI‑enabled systems
  • PMP certification

Day to Day

Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer for one of their simulation software engineering clients. This resource will be fully remote, working within our client's Data Analytics team to play a key role in the expansion of their business capabilities. This role involves curating datasets and crafting technical solutions for business executives, leveraging cloud technologies to develop standardized data models across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, with the ability to transform insights from SQL, Power BI, and data engineering into tangible business value.

Some responsibilities will include:

  • Develop new data pipelines using SQL and data warehousing skills
  • Design relational models & Power BI reports to support the growing requirements of the business
  • Connect domain master data to other data models and initiatives
  • Enhance existing ELT efforts to increase analytical capability and data frequency

Compensation

$60/hr to $70/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
