Role Overview
This contract role plays a pivotal part in supporting our Commercial Learning & Development function. The field training lead will bring deep expertise in both business and learning strategy to design and deliver impactful training that supports measurable performance outcomes—particularly for Market Access & Reimbursement (MA&R).
This individual will help drive short-term field readiness during a critical launch phase, while ensuring strategic alignment across global commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Account Management Training
- Deliver foundational and advanced training programs tailored to MA&R and Key Account Management field teams.
- Elevate specialized capabilities across commercial teams, focusing on access, reimbursement, and advanced account management effectiveness.
- Lead the execution of both large group and smaller cliented sessions, with support from senior training managers.
2. Strategic Learning Execution
- Apply deep business knowledge to define learning priorities in partnership with stakeholders.
- Drive implementation of cohesive, scalable learning experiences to support near-term field execution goals.
- Ensure training aligns with commercialization strategy and evolving payer/access needs.
3. Global Collaboration & Integration
- Collaborate closely with US Commercial Learning and cross-functional partners to align training plans with product timelines and access milestones.
- Ensure consistency across global commercial learning initiatives, integrating account management and access-focused training priorities.
4. Leadership & Business Impact
- Assess field needs and translate them into flexible, actionable training solutions.
- Serve as the key point of contact for training coordination, agency communication, and stakeholder alignment.
- Help drive organizational performance through improved team leadership, coaching, and executional excellence.
5. Operational Oversight
- Own training delivery timelines and execution, ensuring adherence to internal standards and SOPs.
- Manage training logistics and contribute to broader learning operations, including diversity and inclusion integration where relevant.
- Facilitate at least one in-person training session during the contract period.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in training roles within pharma/biotech.
- 7–10 years of commercial experience in the industry, preferably with Market Access, Payer, or Key Account Management background.
- Experience in training delivery and strategic learning execution, including launch readiness.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across levels in a matrixed environment.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change and ambiguity.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Skills
- MBA preferred.
- Rare disease or specialty therapeutic area experience.
- Familiarity with Field Access Portals or related market access systems.
- Adult learning experience and familiarity with global training integration best practices.
