About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IP Paralegal to provide end-to-end operational support across global trademark lifecycle activities. This fully remote role will support a sophisticated international brand protection and trademark portfolio management function, operating as an integrated extension of a global in-house legal team.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in trademark prosecution, portfolio management, enforcement, and global brand protection strategies, along with the ability to work independently across multiple jurisdictions and time zones.

Key Responsibilities

Trademark Search & Clearance Support

  • Conduct preliminary and comprehensive trademark clearance searches across domestic and international jurisdictions
  • Analyze search results and identify potential legal and commercial risks
  • Prepare organized summaries, reports, and recommendations to support trademark clearance decisions
  • Coordinate with attorneys and business stakeholders on risk assessments and filing strategies

Trademark Portfolio Management & Prosecution Support

  • Manage global trademark portfolios across multiple jurisdictions
  • Prepare and file trademark applications and supporting documentation
  • Draft responses to office actions for attorney review
  • Coordinate with foreign associates and outside counsel regarding prosecution matters
  • Monitor and manage deadlines, renewals, and docketing activities
  • Maintain accurate trademark records within IP management systems

Trademark Use Investigations & Renewal Support

  • Collect and organize evidence of trademark use for maintenance and renewal filings
  • Conduct use assessments and support enforceability reviews
  • Prepare renewal recommendations aligned with business priorities and portfolio strategy

Trademark Enforcement & Brand Protection Support

  • Support global trademark enforcement initiatives and online brand protection efforts
  • Assist with online takedown matters, infringement investigations, and counterfeit monitoring
  • Support domain name disputes, including UDRP filings and evidence compilation
  • Track infringement matters and coordinate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel

Trademark Watch & Pre-Opposition Analysis

  • Review trademark watch notices and identify potentially conflicting third-party marks
  • Conduct preliminary investigations and risk assessments
  • Prepare summaries and recommended next steps for attorney review

Adverse Proceedings Support

  • Assist with oppositions, cancellations, and contested trademark proceedings
  • Gather evidence and prepare supporting materials
  • Coordinate with external counsel to ensure timely and effective case management

Qualifications

  • 5 years of trademark and brand protection paralegal experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and international trademark prosecution processes
  • Experience supporting global trademark portfolios across multiple jurisdictions
  • Familiarity with trademark docketing and IP management systems
  • Experience with online enforcement tools, domain disputes, and UDRP matters preferred
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced remote environment
  • Proficiency with legal technology platforms, workflow automation tools, and AI-enabled legal support solutions preferred

  • Ability to work collaboratively across international teams and time zones
  • Strong process improvement mindset with focus on operational scalability and efficiency
  • Experience leveraging automation and AI tools to streamline trademark workflows and reduce manual effort

Additional Information
