Requirements
Must have:
- Demonstrated experience in technical support positions with advanced troubleshooting abilities across various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Proficient in computer management encompassing hardware setup and software installations
- Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite and other productivity software
- Strong grasp of computer networking principles including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and network security practices
- Experience with help desk ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira for tracking and resolving issues
- Understanding of IT infrastructure elements including servers, switches, routers, and the BMC Remedy platform
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical individuals
- Capable of effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality service delivery
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized technical support to end-users concerning hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and networking issues
- Diagnose and resolve software-related challenges associated with applications such as Microsoft Office and help desk tools like ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy
- Aid in computer management functions including setup, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of desktops and laptops
- Facilitate computer networking tasks involving LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewall setups, and connectivity problems
- Supervise computer hardware components like peripherals, printers, and BMC servers to maintain peak performance
- Keep IT support documentation up-to-date, including incident logs and ticketing systems, to monitor the progress of issue resolutions
- Team up with colleagues to enhance IT infrastructure stability and enforce best practices for desktop support and security measures
