About the Role
This firm is seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join its cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have 0-4 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or security operations. This role provides the opportunity to work on real-time threat monitoring, incident response, and security investigations while developing skills in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and analyze security alerts to identify potential threats
- Investigate suspicious activity and security incidents, escalating as needed
- Assist in incident response, forensic analysis, and threat intelligence reporting
- Maintain and optimize security tools, including SIEM platforms and endpoint protection solutions
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to enhance security policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
- 0-4 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or IT security roles
- Familiarity with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, malware analysis, and network security
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance (PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc.)
- Security certifications (CompTIA Security+, CEH, GSEC) are a plus
