Job Details

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth running of our financial department:

  1. Overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department, including the management of our accounting staff.
  2. Training staff to ensure they are up to date with the latest accounting practices and software.
  3. Preparing monthly financial reports, providing insights on our company's financial status, and proposing actionable solutions for improvement.
  4. Managing cash flow and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  5. Processing bonuses and other forms of financial compensation for our team.
  6. Preparing and reviewing year-end financial statements and leading the year-end close process.
  7. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest financial legislation.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
  2. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  3. Extensive experience with financial reporting and preparing financial statements.
  4. Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting.
  5. Proficiency in accounting software such as Timberline, Sage 300, Sage Intacct, and Great Plains.
  6. Excellent leadership skills, with experience training and managing a team.
  7. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and understandable manner.
