Job Details
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth running of our financial department:
- Overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department, including the management of our accounting staff.
- Training staff to ensure they are up to date with the latest accounting practices and software.
- Preparing monthly financial reports, providing insights on our company's financial status, and proposing actionable solutions for improvement.
- Managing cash flow and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Processing bonuses and other forms of financial compensation for our team.
- Preparing and reviewing year-end financial statements and leading the year-end close process.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest financial legislation.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Extensive experience with financial reporting and preparing financial statements.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Timberline, Sage 300, Sage Intacct, and Great Plains.
- Excellent leadership skills, with experience training and managing a team.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and understandable manner.
