Job Details
A well-established, growth-oriented public accounting firm is seeking an experienced professional to support its audit and assurance practice. This role will serve as a key member of the engagement team, providing leadership in the execution of audits and maintaining high standards of client service. The position offers strong exposure to a variety of engagements and the opportunity to mentor and develop junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day engagement activities to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
- Coordinate and plan engagement phases, including budgeting time and expenses and monitoring performance
- Supervise staff and review workpapers for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards
- Prepare and review financial statements, including evaluation of presentation and disclosures
- Lead audit planning and fieldwork, and communicate findings and recommendations to client management
- Serve as the primary "in-charge" field representative on engagements
- Take ownership of assigned engagement areas and drive them through completion
- Apply analytical judgment to identify, evaluate, and resolve quantitative and qualitative variances
- Leverage prior engagement experience to address current issues effectively
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Travel to client sites as required (varies by engagement)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
- CPA license or active pursuit of licensure
- 3+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on audit and assurance
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills (including lookups and pivot tables)
- Familiarity with common accounting and audit software platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, CCH systems preferred)
