MID LEVEL Java Developer

Position Overview: This is a Mid-level Java Developer position with one of our clients in Des Moines, Iowa, offering a salary up to 120K.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS MID LEVEL DEVELOPER:

  • MINIMUM 3+ years of Java development
  • Eye for DESIGN and front-end web page development with UI / UX Development
  • ACCESSIBILITY background / ACCESSIBILITY WEB DEVELOPMENT experience for externally facing web applications and web sites
  • Searching for a Mid-level developer, NOT a Senior Developer. IDEALLY 5-8 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with a Front-End Language such as: JavaScript; Angular, or React experience is a plus!
  • Spring Boot experience
  • Microservices experience
  • WEB development

Education:

  • 2-year or 4-year degree is Preferred (Prefer Computer Science or similar)

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of software development experience, including 3 or more years working with Java in a development environment.
  • Hands-on experience building applications with Core Java, Java Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Familiarity with microservices design and development for scalable distributed systems.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating backend services with front-end applications.
  • Working knowledge of test-driven development and software quality practices.
  • Exposure to front-end development using JavaScript; experience with Angular or React is advantageous.
  • Background supporting externally facing websites or web applications with attention to user interface and user experience.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
