Location: 100% Remote within MD, VA, DC, PA, DE, and FL. Office located at Johns Hopkins Campus, 5801 Smith Ave., Davis Bldg., Baltimore, MD 21209.
General Summary
This position administers Windows Servers including, but not limited to Windows Server, SQL Server, SQL Reporting Server, Windows Internet Information Server (Web Server) and all related infrastructure associated to the proper functioning of those systems. Operational knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Routing, Firewall, Cloud Infrastructure, Storage and Server Virtualization is required. Windows Server Security administration and management is a fundamental aspect underlying all projects. General knowledge of database structure and administration is required.

- Windows Server Service Account Administration
Windows Server Management
- General Server Administration
- Server Health (SCCM, SCOM, What's Up, AD Password Age, Storage, LAPS, Version Management, Backup, Certificate Management)
- Continuity of Operations Activities
- Review CMDB entries, participation in testing, review Continuity of Operations documentation
- Project Documentation
- Creation and upkeep
- Change Management Practices
Cloud Core and Virtualization
- Migration from on-prem to Cloud for Windows Servers
- Virtual Server Compliance (Cloud Standards)
- Resource and Resource Group Tagging, Backup Configuration, Hybrid Benefit Configuration, Network Segmentation (Cloud), Capacity Reservation Configuration
- Cloud Maintenance
- Powerstate Management, Disk Management, Snapshot Management, Migration Management (Cleanup, documentation, CMDB update)
Preferred Qualifications
- Windows Server Administration
- Cloud Proficiency (Azure primarily, then AWS)
- Scripting capabilities
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field is required. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
Work Experience
Four years of related experience with autonomous administration, programming, maintenance, performance, implementation, security and support of various departmental and enterprise wide multiple platforms; complex business, clinical, education, or infrastructure solutions.
