Job Summary

Location: Plano, TX Salary: Depends on Experience

Description:

Plano, TX (Hybrid: 2 days/week initially, moving to 4 days/week. Mon/Tues in office.)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Uncover business needs and the core questions the company seeks to answer to properly frame your analysis.
  • Leverage SQL/Python coding skills to extract and organize data essential for your analysis.
  • Assess the quantitative and qualitative impacts of potential actions based on your insights, considering customers, employees, and the company.
  • Recommend actions supported by data through presentations (PowerPoint), data visualizations (Tableau), and clear communication (verbal and written).
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to implement and measure the impact of recommended actions.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of overall experience as a Business Data Analyst.
  • Primary focus on generating actionable insights through data and effective data storytelling to drive data-driven decisions.
  • High proficiency and professional experience coding in SQL, Python, and/or R (will be tested).
  • High proficiency and professional experience with data acquisition, manipulation, and cleaning.

Qualifications (Must Haves)

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, Engineering, Analytics, or a similar quantitative STEM field.
  • Relevant professional work experience (paid, non-academic, non-intern) OR an advanced degree in a qualifying discipline.
  • High proficiency and professional experience coding in SQL, Python, and/or R (will be tested).
  • High proficiency and professional experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau.
  • High proficiency and professional experience with data acquisition, manipulation, and cleaning.
  • High proficiency and professional experience identifying trends and indicators through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Proficiency with statistics and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Comfort presenting ideas virtually or in-person to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work independently in a hybrid environment.
  • Proficiency with Tableau.

Added Bonus (Preferred)

  • MBA or advanced degree in Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, Engineering, Analytics, or a similar quantitative STEM field.
  • Professional experience in auto financing, consumer lending, and/or financial institutions.
  • Professional experience in consumer credit risk, business analytics, finance, and/or pricing roles.
