Account Manager

Kelly is seeking a Hybrid Account Manager for a premier client in Mettawa, IL.

Pay Rate: $46.76/hr.

Location: 26525 North Riverwoods Boulevard ABV1, Mettawa, IL 60045

Job Duration: 12+ months (Temp to hire)

Shift: 1st

Schedule: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days WFH)

Primary Function / Goals / Objectives

The Account Manager acts as the main point of contact between the AbbVie Ad Agency and brand teams, managing daily relationships within the Agency. In partnership with the Agency's creative staff and external resources, this role provides strategic direction and counsel to help brand teams achieve their business objectives and sales goals.

Knowledge / Skills

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AbbVie guidelines, including corporate branding, promotional material development, PromoMats review, and corporate compliance.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of assigned accounts' (U.S. and Global) product attributes, marketing objectives, target audience, competitive landscape, market dynamics, and medical/regulatory/legal standing.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Agency Workflow Process, including project initiation, kickoff, collaboration, necessary approvals, production, and archiving.
  • Demonstrate critical creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exhibit clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Show the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively to enhance productivity and manage workload.
  • Demonstrate leadership in conflict resolution to facilitate positive outcomes.
  • Possess the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Project/Process Management

  • Collaborate with brand teams to develop creative briefs.
  • Recommend key promotional tactics that align with brand strategy and goals.
  • Issue client contact reports to ensure timely communication among all stakeholders.
  • Review creative development from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications, client expectations, budgets, and timelines.
  • Facilitate ongoing, timely, and accurate communication to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Develop annual forecasts.
  • Conduct monthly financial reconciliations.
  • Track time daily.

Accountability / Scope

  • Reports to AbbVie Ad Agency Account Manager or Associate Director.
  • Partners with the creative team on project initiatives.
  • Accountable for strategic direction, creative/tactical execution, compliance with all related guidelines, and budget management.
  • Adheres to all company-wide financial policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Pharmaceutical ad agency or in-house agency experience required (preferred within the last 5+ years).
  • Minimum of 10 years of total account management experience.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred (both U.S. and Global).
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, presentation, and written.
  • High-energy, positive, organized individual comfortable in a high-visibility role.
  • Ability to manage high-volume project scope in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to focus on both the big picture and intricate details.
