Company Description

Known2U is challenging decades of conventional thinking in the data integration industry. As the creator of Data Exchange as a Service® (DEaaS®), we built our Cloud Data Xchange® (CDX®) platform to replace the costly, labor-intensive approaches that have long dominated the market. By combining semantic technologies, AI-driven concepts, and deep domain knowledge, we help organizations accomplish in hours/days what traditionally takes months. Known2U offers a unique environment where innovative thinkers can challenge conventional approaches, solve meaningful problems, and help redefine an industry. We combine the innovation and collaboration of a modern technology company with the stability and proven track record of a business that has successfully served clients for more than a decade.

Role Description

Known2U is seeking an experienced and analytical Data Exchange Engineer to support and maintain data exchanges (a.k.a. data integrations) between client HR/payroll systems, our Cloud Data Xchange® (CDX®) platform, and their third-party vendor partners.

This is a fully remote role focused on production support, integration maintenance, troubleshooting, implementation updates, and client interaction. The ideal candidate enjoys investigating complex data issues, analyzing transformation logic, and working with structured data to ensure accurate and reliable information exchange between systems.

You will work within a collaborative support structure while independently managing data exchanges, diagnosing production issues, implementing mappings/transformations, and communicating directly with clients regarding integration behavior and resolution strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and support client data exchanges/integrations and ongoing implementation requests.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production integration issues identified by clients, vendors, or the CDX platform.
  • Analyze and work extensively with XML, delimited files, structured data formats, and transformation logic.
  • Troubleshoot mapping discrepancies, processing errors, delivery failures, and data validation issues.
  • Maintain and update integration configurations, mappings, and vendor connection settings.
  • Coordinate and implement integration enhancements, open enrollment updates, and new vendor data exchange requirements.
  • Communicate with clients regarding issue analysis, implementation updates, and resolution planning.
  • Collaborate with internal team members and mentors on complex troubleshooting scenarios and escalations.
  • Prioritize and respond quickly to production-impacting issues while managing multiple ongoing client requests.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role

  • Strong analytical reasoning and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to diagnose complex data and integration issues independently.
  • Comfortable working with structured data and transformation logic.
  • Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working effectively in a fully remote environment.
  • Ability to balance independent ownership with collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with XML, EDI, structured data formats, or integration-related technologies preferred.
  • Prior experience in HRIS, employee benefits, payroll integrations, implementation support, technical operations, or related environments preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting data mapping, transformation, or integration issues preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and investigative analysis skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Strong general computer and business software proficiency required.
  • Degree or certifications are welcome, but demonstrated analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and professional aptitude are most important.
