We Breathe Life Into Data

At Komodo Health, our mission is to reduce the global burden of disease. We believe that smarter use of data is essential to this mission. That's why we built the Healthcare Map — the industry's largest, most complete, precise view of the U.S. healthcare system — by combining de-identified, real-world patient data with innovative algorithms and decades of clinical experience.

As we pursue these goals, it remains essential to us that we stay grounded in our values: be awesome, seek growth, deliver "wow," and enjoy the ride.

The Opportunity at Komodo Health

The Data Product team is responsible for developing and evolving the core data asset that powers Komodo Health's application suite, our Healthcare Map. The Data Product Operations team's mission is to ensure high-quality, timely data deliveries to customers, supported by proactive and clear communication.

In this role, you will be responsible for the reliable and timely execution of all data deliveries, thus building and maintaining customer trust and consistency. Bring your curiosity, creativity, and your favorite prompts — we believe AI fluency is a competitive edge!

Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have...

  • Partnered with vendors to resolve data delivery issues and address schema-related modifications.
  • Collaborated with the Data Strategy team to identify gaps in the healthcare map, informing the evaluation and onboarding of new data sources.
  • Proactively quantified and communicated data-related issues to downstream teams and customers.
  • Developed a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare map and its representation of the real-world healthcare system.
  • Led exploratory analysis to understand data quality issues and provided appropriate workarounds or solutions when feasible.
  • Gathered feedback from customers and internal users to prioritize and maintain an actionable operations backlog.
  • Collaborated with data engineering and data quality engineers to enhance the reliability and quality of data pipelines.
  • Enhanced operational rigor through the implementation of new processes.

What you bring to Komodo Health

  • 7 years of experience in data product management or data product operations role in a healthcare or life sciences domain.
  • Prior experience working with medical and / or prescription claims data.
  • Comfortable using data analysis tools and creating SQL queries to conduct analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly detail-oriented with an "Operations First" approach.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Expectations of AI Use in this role

  • Ability to leverage AI tools (Gemini, Claude, Cursor, etc.) to enhance personal productivity, streamline workflows, content and visualization creation.

Additional skills and experience we'd prioritize

  • Familiarity with life sciences, payer, and provider healthcare users.
  • Prior experience as a product manager at a B2B technology/software company.
  • Experience working in agile / scrum teams.
  • Experience as a leader with proven ability to collaborate and influence in a cross-matrixed environment.
  • Understanding of the third party payment system in the United States.
  • Experience interacting with, managing, or building with AI agentic workflows.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting annual base pay for this role is $157,000 - $178,000 USD. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and flexible time off.

Komodo's AI Standard

At Komodo, we're not just witnessing the AI revolution — we're leading it. AI here isn't optional; it's foundational. We expect you to integrate AI into your daily work to drive our collective success.
