Role Details

• Location: REMOTE
• Mode: Contract (6+ Months)

Must Have Skills

• Akamai
• F5 load balancers - ASM (Moderate Knowledge)
• AWS WAF
• Security knowledge, specifically understanding Layer 7 protection/vulnerabilities
• Experience handling Web Application Firewall technologies (Akamai, Cloudflare)

Job Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of DNS architecture & resolution.
• Hands-on experience with Akamai, Cloudflare, F5 XC, etc.
• Basic scripting (Python/Bash) for automation.
• Troubleshooting experience in network/edge delivery issues.
• Design, deploy, and configure WAF solutions (e.g., Akamai, Cloudflare, AWS WAF, Imperva).
• Implement security policies, rules, and custom signatures.
• Tune WAF configurations to balance security vs application performance.
• Integrate WAF with CDN and load balancing layers.
• Positively contribute to over 99.99%+ application uptime.
• Engineer innovative ways to solve problems and build helpful tools using scripting/automation focus with a software engineering mindset.
