Job description
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale data science projects from ideation to enterprise impact
- Develop creative and practical solutions to complex problems
- Evaluate trade-offs to optimize solutions for speed and effectiveness
- Implement scalable, well-tested solutions to reduce process complexity
- Engage proactively with stakeholders to align efforts with business needs
- Identify and mitigate risks early in projects to avoid potential roadblocks
- Mentor peers and enhance team problem-solving and execution capabilities
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field (Master's + 3-4 years or Ph.D. + 2+ years of experience)
- Strong background in probability, statistics, and machine learning tools (SQL, Python, ML/statistical packages)
- Proven track record of using data science to drive enterprise value
- Experience leading projects from concept to measurable impact
- Ability to mentor and enhance team capabilities through collaboration and leadership
- Strong communication skills to align data science efforts with business objectives
