Business Development & Sales Specialist (Independent Contractor)
Operating Model: Remote | Independent Contractor
Target Market: Venture Capital (VC)-backed SaaS Startups & Global Tech Firms
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition & Pipeline Generation: Identify, target, and engage key decision-makers (CEOs, Founders, VPs of HR, and Talent Partners) within VC-backed SaaS businesses globally to pitch Magnus Kor's specialized recruitment solutions.
- Strategic Relationship Management: Manage the end-to-end commercial sales lifecycle—from cold outreach and initial consultation to pitching, negotiation, and closing service level agreements (SLAs) or retained search mandates.
- Recruitment Coordination: Serve as the primary commercial bridge between external client stakeholders and internal recruiters. Clearly translate the client's hiring requirements, culture, and technical specifications to the localized fulfillment team to guarantee optimal time-to-fill metrics.
- International Market Analysis: Evaluate new geographic tech hubs, assessing regulatory variations (such as GDPR compliance and regional data protection standards) to pitch customized, legally compliant global staffing frameworks to clients.
30-45 Day Initial Trial Milestones
Operating within our high-performance contractor framework, new members of the BD and Sales cohort are expected to hit specific initial indicators to confirm long-term fit:
- Onboarding & Strategy Alignment (Days 1-5): Complete comprehensive internal process training, align on localized KPIs, and establish target client maps for premium SaaS companies.
- Outreach & Pipeline Build (Days 6-20): Initiate high-volume, targeted outbound campaigns to generate active discovery calls and presentation opportunities.
- Revenue Generation Target (Days 21-45): Demonstrate immediate commercial viability by securing contract values or originating exclusive job mandates with a total projected revenue value between $20,000 and $40,000.
Compensation & Progression Structure
In accordance with the Magnus Kor associate structure, compensation is strictly aligned to performance, giving commercial professionals substantial earning potential:
- Commission-Based Structure: Earnings are derived via an attractive, uncapped commission percentage based directly on the total contract revenue value or placement fees generated from the clients secured by the specialist.
- Transition to Permanent Status: Upon successful completion of the initial 30-45 day trial window, performance will be evaluated based on revenue delivery, quality of client relationships, and team collaboration. The top 2-3 performers across the cohort will progress to Permanent Contractor Status, unlocking enhanced organizational perks, priority access to enterprise databases, and dedicated operational support structures.
