Sourcing Associate

Job Summary

• Lead End-to-End Sourcing Events: Owned and executed complex sourcing events (e.g., RFx, supplier selection, negotiations, contracting) for Professional Services, SaaS, Cloud, and IT Consulting categories, managing multiple events simultaneously (up to 5 at a time).

• Stakeholder Engagement: Led collaboration with business stakeholders and procurement management to frame project objectives, gather requirements (even when ambiguous), and develop sourcing strategies.

• Supplier Negotiations: Led robust pricing and contractual negotiations with suppliers, ensuring optimal savings, value, and risk mitigation.

• Contract Development and Management: Owned the drafting, redlining, and execution of contracts, working closely with legal, risk, and business owners to ensure compliance with corporate and Federal regulations (including FAR, MBE/WBE requirements).

• Compliance and Documentation: Ensured adherence to procurement policies, Federal regulations, and maintained complete documentation in the SAP Ariba source-to-pay system.

• Supplier and Contract Lifecycle Management: Managed existing contracts, prepared for renewals, analyzed and resolved contract and invoice discrepancies, and coordinated purchases using appropriate methods (POs, contracts, blanket orders).

• Analysis and Reporting: Analyzed supplier offerings, pricing, and renewal options; prepared documentation for Federal Government consent as needed.

• Process Improvement & Execution: Drove sourcing process improvements, ensured timely execution according to SLAs, and contributed to the team's annual sourcing volume ($30-50M per individual).

• Presentation & Influence: Delivered effective presentations and influenced decision-makers at various management levels.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 6+ years of direct, hands-on sourcing experience (not just supporting), preferably with exposure to both private and Federal sectors, and proficiency in SAP Ariba.

• Remote/DMV Area: 100% remote role
