Requirements

Must have:

  • Bachelors degree and at least 8 years of related experience (additional experience may substitute for the degree).
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) required before start date.
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise network modernization and migration.
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation or integration initiatives.
  • Strong background in troubleshooting, deployment, and operational network support.
  • Experience in multi-vendor enterprise environments.
  • Customer-facing engineering and technical coordination experience.
  • Ability to support cross-functional engineering teams in fast-moving operational settings.
  • Experience integrating enterprise networking with cloud-based infrastructure and services.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud networking concepts and secure connectivity architectures.
  • Experience supporting network segmentation, access control, and identity-based networking solutions.
  • Experience planning and executing enterprise wireless migrations.
  • Required primary skill area: Aruba Wireless, Cisco Wireless, Cisco ISE, or Azure Cloud.

Preferred experience:

  • Aruba ClearPass, Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC/CAT-C) / SD-Access, SGTs / microsegmentation, Comply to Connect.
  • Azure VNETs, Azure VPN Gateway / ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall / NSGs.
  • Hybrid cloud connectivity and routing, cloud network security and segmentation.
  • Network automation and scripting, Python, Ansible, Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Multi-site network deployment and operational support.

Responsibilities

  • Support the DES team delivering network engineering services for DISA at Fort Meade (hybrid).
  • Modernize and migrate enterprise networks for the Defense Enclave Services program.
  • Contribute to unifying DoD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities onto the modernized DoDNet architecture.
  • Improve user experience, strengthen security, and enhance network reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in dynamic environments.
  • Coordinate technical work with customers and partner organizations.
  • Troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and provide operational support.
  • Support wireless migration planning and execution.
  • Integrate networking solutions with cloud infrastructure and secure hybrid connectivity.
  • Support network segmentation, access control, and identity-based networking initiatives.
