Lennor Metier Consulting is partnering with a multinational tech company to hire a Data Scientist based in BGC, Taguig City.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically advanced Data Scientist to drive innovation in subsea fiber optic infrastructure analytics and intelligent automation. This role focuses on the research, design, and deployment of machine learning algorithms, geospatial intelligence solutions, and data-driven systems to improve the performance, monitoring, optimization, and reliability of subsea cable networks.

Your Responsibilities

Research & Algorithm Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models and statistical algorithms for subsea fiber optic infrastructure analysis.
  • Conduct R&D initiatives focused on predictive analytics, anomaly detection, route optimization, and risk modeling.
  • Build scalable analytical frameworks for large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Evaluate emerging AI/ML methodologies for operational improvement.

Geospatial Intelligence & Spatial Analytics

  • Perform advanced geospatial analysis to support subsea route planning and monitoring.
  • Develop spatial data models and mapping workflows using geospatial libraries.
  • Create high-impact visualizations and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Integrate GIS and spatial intelligence into machine learning pipelines.

Data Engineering & Pipeline Development

  • Architect and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and processing large-scale datasets.
  • Build efficient ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing for high-volume workloads.

AI & LLM Integration

  • Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI to automate research and analysis.
  • Develop intelligent systems combining traditional ML with LLM-based capabilities.
  • Explore prompt engineering, RAG, and AI-assisted knowledge extraction.

Software Development & Tooling

  • Design internal tools, web applications (Streamlit, FastAPI, Flask), APIs, and automation utilities.
  • Develop CLI tools and automation scripts.
  • Follow engineering best practices for maintainable and scalable software.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.
  • Translate complex findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Contribute to technical strategy and document methodologies.

What We're Looking For

  • R&D & Algorithmic Development: 3-5 years of experience designing/deploying algorithms and pipelines for subsea infrastructure.
  • Geospatial Intelligence: Experience in advanced geospatial analysis, mapping, and route optimization.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Python expertise (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow).
  • Geospatial Expertise: Strong experience with Geopandas, Google Earth Engine (GEE), and QGIS.
  • Machine Learning & Statistics: Proven track record in production environments.
  • Software Development: Experience building web applications and robust CLI utilities.
  • Data Engineering: Ability to architect pipelines and manage large-scale datasets.
  • LLM Integration: Experience leveraging LLMs to automate processes and extract insights.
