Overview
The Business Analyst holds a key role in supporting project and product delivery teams, reporting directly to the Manager, IT Business Analysis. This position involves a variety of functions, driven by user needs and a solid understanding of relevant business systems and industry requirements.
As a team member, the Business Analyst will document requirements, including epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for prioritized system and feature development. We are looking for a collaborative team player with a growth mindset, eager to refine procedures to address complex business system and industry challenges, ultimately contributing to the development of the digital utility of the future.
Responsibilities
- Engage with internal clients to understand functional requirements, translating them into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Organize and lead meetings with Business, Design, Dev Team, and other relevant groups.
- Develop, refine, and document requirements (epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria) for prioritized feature development.
- Support the team by providing insights into current and future system inputs, processes, and outputs, including interface mapping and "As Is / To Be" process documentation.
- Provide consultation on functional testing of system modifications.
- Ensure traceability of project work, including capturing requirements, linking test cases to requirements, and supporting defect capture and root cause analysis during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support pre-release testing activities to ensure alignment with agreed-upon features and capabilities.
- Assist in creating training documentation and product details for the business.
- Collaborate with the Design Team during the Discovery Phase of the Agile Playbook for user requirement activities.
- Participate in the development and implementation of programs aimed at enhancing internal controls, client service, or support.
- Provide support for RFPs by gathering high-level requirements, mapping flows, and delivering demos.
- Assist with and support business case development, including conducting business analyses or feasibility studies for technology initiatives.
