About Leorna
Leorna is an early-stage startup building a centralized big-data platform that gives AI agents persistent, long-term "forever" memory. We're pre-funding and moving fast toward our raise and go-to-market --- and we're looking for a founding, hands-on CTO who sets the technical vision AND writes the code that makes it real.
This is a player-coach role: you own architecture and engineering strategy, and you're in the codebase every day. As our most senior technical leader, you'll build the product and the platform, then hire and grow the team.
What you'll do
- Own the technical vision and architecture for the AI memory platform end-to-end.
- Write and ship production code daily --- you lead from the front, not just the whiteboard.
- Build the AI/agent layer (LLM orchestration, retrieval, memory) and the data backbone that feeds it.
- Make the hard build-vs-buy, stack, security, and scalability calls.
- Take the product from prototype to production fast, then hire and grow the engineering team.
- Partner on fundraising as the technical voice (vision and diligence).
What we're looking for
- A hands-on technical leader who still codes every day.
- Proven 0 to 1: you've architected and shipped AI-native production systems and large-scale data.
- Depth in agents, retrieval, and memory (RAG, vector graph stores) and distributed backends.
- A solid grasp of data governance, privacy standards, and secure multi-tenant architecture.
- Founder mentality: comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and full ownership.
- You use AI coding tools daily. You use tools like Cursor, Copilot, or Claude daily to accelerate your output, and you can demonstrate how they fit into your workflow and hold a current Claude or OpenAI Codex subscription (required).
Compensation & logistics
- Founding-level equity. Equity only right now (no cash before we close funding); cash salary plus additional equity once funding closes.
