Remote Senior Tax Manager / Tax Director -- Estate, Trust & Gift Focus

Location: Fully Remote (US-Based)

Salary: $200,000 -- $300,000+ (Based on experience)

Bonus: Generous Annual Performance Bonuses

About the Role

As a Senior Tax Manager or Tax Director -- Estate & Trust Focus, you will take the lead in client engagements centered around estate, trust, and gift tax planning and compliance. You'll work directly with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, fiduciaries, attorneys, and family offices to navigate complex wealth transfer and estate strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of estate, trust, and gift tax clients
  • Oversee preparation and review of Forms 1041, 706, 709, and related filings
  • Provide strategic guidance on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning
  • Collaborate with attorneys, wealth advisors, and trustees on client matters
  • Monitor and interpret tax law changes impacting estates and trusts
  • Mentor and lead a team of specialized tax professionals
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients based on value and expertise---not hours billed

Qualifications

  • CPA required; MST, JD, or LLM is a plus
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting or a private tax advisory role with a focus on estate, gift, and fiduciary income taxation
  • Strong technical knowledge of estate and trust tax rules and planning techniques
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a remote-first, collaborative environment
