Tax Manager | Independent Partner-Owned CPA Firm | True Work-Life Balance

Location: 100% Remote (Must be located in the US & authorized)

Compensation: Up to $175k base + 10--15% discretionary bonus + future equity opportunity

Requirements: 5--10+ years tax experience, CPA Required

We are hiring a Tax Manager to join a growing tax practice in a fully remote capacity, with an eye toward someone who wants to build something lasting—not just a job.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and manage tax compliance and planning for a portfolio of closely held businesses, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Lead client relationships with a quality-first, relationship-driven approach.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff; participate in training and team development.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and proactively advise clients on evolving tax law.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior leadership on firm growth initiatives and client strategy.

Qualifications

  • Active CPA License.
  • 5--10+ years of public accounting experience, with meaningful tax review and management experience.
  • Strong foundation in pass-through entities, closely held businesses, and/or HNW individual taxation.
  • Excellent client communication and relationship management skills.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment.
