Job Description

This role will be based in San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, D.C. or New York City.

As an integral member of our fast-paced, well-rounded, collaborative, and fun commercial legal team, you will play an active role in fulfilling LinkedIn's mission of connecting the world's professionals to make them more productive and successful.

In this role, you will focus on addressing the novel and complex legal and business issues that confront a fast-growing company committed to innovation. You will work primarily with our marketing business teams, negotiating revenue-generating advertising transactions and incentive deals.

Responsibilities

  • Independently draft, review and negotiate ad sales-related agreements for LinkedIn's Marketing Solutions team. Representative agreements include advertising insertion orders, media, strategic partnership, sponsorship, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Lead negotiation calls with customers.
  • Collaborate with LinkedIn's Deal Desk, Sales, Finance, Product, and other cross-functional teams on internal approvals and escalations to ensure sales transactions are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes.
  • Act as a business partner to the LinkedIn marketing sales teams throughout the customer lifecycle to ensure timely management and closure of sales opportunities.
  • Drive internal projects that create leverage and scalable processes to optimize contract negotiation and management services that drive business results.
  • Provide support to senior attorneys as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • 3 years' experience practicing as an attorney, including 2 years of experience in online/digital advertising transactions (Ad-Tech)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with negotiating the IAB standard terms and conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage various deals and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships with teams across various disciplines and seniority levels
  • A proficient understanding of global data privacy and security frameworks
  • Provides exceptional customer service
  • Exercises sound business judgment and escalates material issues to senior attorneys as needed
  • Sense of humor and positive "can-do" attitude.

Compensation

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $123,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
