Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Mechanical Engineer.
In this role, you will contribute to design, analysis, testing, and requirements verification of high performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of undersea defense systems, acoustic sensors, electronics packaging, working with complex electromechanical systems, materials and corrosion control, environmental qualification, structural designs and environmental survivability of structures and electronic modules intended for undersea applications.
This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or in a related discipline.
- PRO-Engineer (CREO) or equivalent.
- Application of finite element analysis to a real-world situation.

Desired Skills
- Electronics packaging experience.
- Knowledge of materials and corrosion control.
- Knowledge of undersea defense systems.
- Capable using ANSYS Workbench to validate a design or solve a problem.
- Knowledge of acoustic sensors.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with complex electromechanical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a diverse, cross functional team.
- Knowledge of environmental qualification testing.

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Pay and Benefits
The annual base salary range varies by location and metropolitan area, generally ranging from $57,500 to $114,655. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions when extending an offer.
