Role Description

The Senior Design Director is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the design vision and execution across the practice's client-facing and internal experiences. This role oversees the end-to-end design process, from initial concept through delivery, ensuring that visual identity, digital and physical touchpoints, and communications consistently reflect the firm's brand and client-centric values.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing design projects, directing design teams or external vendors, developing brand guidelines, and creating design solutions that support financial planning, marketing, and client education initiatives. The Senior Design Director will collaborate closely with advisors and operations teams to translate complex financial concepts into clear, accessible, and visually compelling materials, while maintaining high standards of quality, usability, and consistency.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Design Management, including leading cross-functional design projects and guiding design teams or creative partners.
• Strong skills in Branding and Product Design, including developing brand systems, visual identities, and client-facing materials that support business goals.
• Experience with Architecture and Construction Drawings, or comparable spatial and technical design capabilities, to oversee structured, detailed design documentation when needed.
• Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud) and familiarity with digital, print, and presentation design for professional services.
• Proven ability to translate complex information into clear, intuitive design solutions that improve client understanding and engagement.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, Visual Communication, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
• Experience working with financial services, professional services, or other regulated industries is preferred but not required.
