Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and design-focused UI/UX Design Intern to support our digital experience initiatives in a fully remote capacity. This opportunity is ideal for a student or recent graduate pursuing a career in UI/UX design, product design, human-computer interaction, graphic design, or a related field.
In this role, you will assist with user experience research, interface design projects, usability evaluations, and design documentation. You will gain hands-on experience contributing to real-world digital experiences while working alongside marketing, creative, and business teams.
What You'll Do
- Review website pages and identify opportunities to improve usability, navigation, and overall user experience
- Create wireframes, mockups, and simple interface concepts for website improvements and new digital features
- Assist with organizing and maintaining design files, assets, and project documentation
- Conduct competitor research and analyze design trends within the furniture, home décor, and e-commerce industries
- Gather and summarize user feedback from customer reviews, surveys, and website interactions
- Participate in brainstorming sessions focused on improving the customer journey and online shopping experience
- Help document design recommendations and present findings in a clear and organized manner
- Support the creation of user flows, site maps, and basic customer journey maps
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ensure visual consistency across digital platforms
- Assist with usability testing activities and compile observations into actionable recommendations
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in UI/UX Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic understanding of user-centered design principles
- Strong attention to detail and visual design sensibilities
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to conduct research and translate findings into clear recommendations
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- A portfolio showcasing academic, personal, or professional design projects is preferred
