About the Role

Responsibilities
- Create clear, comprehensive, and concise test plans and test cases.
- Conduct full cycle testing: Smoke, Unit, Functional, Integration, UAT, and Regression in multiple environments.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and triage test defects.
- Perform Defect Tracking, Gap analysis, and Risk analysis with working knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards.
- Work independently to identify solutions.
- Work closely with the project team to ensure that all technical project deliverables comply with customer standards and requirements.
- Contribute to business discussions about the project and user interfaces.
- Troubleshoot problems and provide customer support for application issues.
- Take full ownership of quality outcomes, driving test strategy, execution, and defect resolution with a high level of accountability.
- Proactively communicate testing progress, risks, and blockers, ensuring clear, timely alignment with Delivery, Product, and Engineering stakeholders.
Desired Skills & Expertise
- Three-plus years of experience working as a QA Tester/Engineer.
- Agile software development principles, practice, and process experience required.
- Experience creating and executing manual test cases and automated test scripts.
- Excellent written communication skills; must be able to produce reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Excellent verbal communication skills; must be equally comfortable having high-level technical conversations with our Dev Leads or translating technical details for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to conduct and oversee meetings with leadership, team members, clients, and end users.
- Experience with defect tracking tools (Redmine/Jira).
- Knowledge of the Healthcare industry preferred: experience performing validation of EDI 837 Claim Billing, 835 claim adjudications, 820, and 834 transactions.
- A strong emphasis is placed on automation, with expectations to design, implement, and maintain automated test coverage that supports scalable, efficient, and reliable software delivery.
- Experience or familiarity with accessibility testing standards (WCAG) and tools.
