About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Advanced Analytics Contractor to act as a senior analytics partner for a leading consumer technology product organization. This is a hands-on, execution-focused engagement designed to accelerate progress on high-priority analytics needs during a period of constrained capacity. You will deliver high-impact analysis, experimentation, and reporting that directly informs product strategy and business decision-making. Success in this role means operating independently, partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and consistently delivering high-quality outputs on agreed timelines.

What You Will Do

  • Own and deliver advanced analytics for defined product and business domains, working with large and complex datasets to answer high-priority questions using statistical, causal, and exploratory techniques.
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments (A/B tests and quasi-experiments) to measure feature impact and inform product iteration.
  • Develop and validate metrics and dimensions that monitor product performance and business outcomes.
  • Build and maintain analytical artifacts such as queries, dashboards, and readouts that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Data Science, and Analytics teams to align on methodology, assumptions, and interpretation.
  • Communicate clear, concise insights and recommendations through written and verbal channels, including leadership-ready readouts.
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to increase efficiency and automate repetitive analytical tasks where appropriate.

Must Haves

Your Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in advanced analytics, data science, or applied quantitative analysis in an industry setting.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in SQL and at least one programming language (Python or R).
  • Proven experience designing and analyzing A/B experiments and applying statistical methods to real-world product problems.
  • Experience building metrics end-to-end, including definitions, validation, and implementation in data pipelines.
  • Strong analytical judgment, with the ability to balance rigor with speed and clearly communicate tradeoffs.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver against agreed timelines.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in marketplace, product analytics, or business strategy contexts is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics workflows is a plus.
