About the Role

This contract Financial Analyst role supports North American Retail Finance Operations and plays a key role in margin analysis, financial reporting, and a major SAP implementation scheduled to go live in October.

This is a hands-on, task-driven position ideal for someone who is comfortable with detailed, manual work and enjoys supporting the business across a wide range of needs. The scope is broad, the volume is real, and flexibility and patience are essential. You'll be well supported by a collaborative finance team spread across North America.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support daily margin analysis and proactively identify issues
  • Perform extensive reconciliations and tie-outs, including P&Ls, margins, costs, supplier programs, and freight
  • Build and review journal entries with a solid understanding of debits and credits
  • Assist with monthly financial close in partnership with operational accounting teams
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reports to regional, divisional, branch, and corporate stakeholders
  • Support budgets, forecasts, strategic plans, and monthly business narratives
  • Respond to frequent ad-hoc financial and reporting requests
  • Support data harmonization, testing, and reporting refinement during SAP implementation
  • Work across all North American retail operating regions to identify profitability opportunities
  • Assist with integration of legacy systems and processes
  • Partner with regional, divisional, and branch leaders to improve operating and financial performance
  • Take on additional projects as needed

What They're Looking For

  • Relevant financial analysis experience (type of experience is more important than formal education)
  • Strong SAP experience required, ideally in customized environments
  • Background in reconciliations, P&L analysis, and journal entry preparation
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented with comfort handling manual processes
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, and open to taking on any type of work as priorities shift
  • Patient and adaptable---this role has a learning curve and is not mastered quickly
  • Experience in agriculture or oil & gas is a strong plus
  • Strong communication skills, integrity, and a collaborative mindset

Work Environment & Team

  • Hybrid role based in the Loveland, CO office (not fully remote)
  • Finance team consists of multiple regional finance managers across North America with analysts supporting various regions
  • This analyst is not dedicated to a single region
  • Strong onboarding, training, and team support provided

Interview Process

  • One panel interview with 2--3 team members
  • 30--45 minutes
  • In-person preferred; virtual option available if needed

This is a long-term contract opportunity with hands-on SAP exposure, strong team support, and high likelihood of extension tied to an ongoing system implementation.
