Mechanical Design Engineer II

Our client, a global leader in Energy and Power Generation Engineering, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer II, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Greenville, SC (100% Remote)

Pay Range: $51/hr

What's the Job?

  • Perform mechanical design and analysis of Heavy Duty and Aeroderivative gas turbine components
  • Evaluate hot gas path and rotor components using engineering analysis tools such as ANSYS
  • Execute hardware design and evaluation while adhering to engineering standards and product requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and supply chain teams
  • Participate in technical design reviews and support product optimization initiatives

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering/Science discipline
  • 4--8 years of engineering analysis experience
  • Experience designing and analyzing turbine blades, nozzles, shrouds, and/or rotors using ANSYS
  • Proficiency with CAD software, preferably NX
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams
