About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join an exceptional client's team. This role is crucial for maintaining system reliability through proactive network and server monitoring, supporting Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) efforts to ensure full observability across infrastructure and applications.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with monitoring and alerting tools, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to respond to and triage incidents in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.

Responsibilities
As a NOC Engineer, you will:
- Manage and maintain monitoring and alerting tools for complete visibility across IT systems.
- Monitor network and server performance, proactively addressing potential issues.
- Respond to alerts, troubleshoot incidents, and escalate as needed.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to resolve ongoing incidents.
- Perform routine system checks and maintenance for optimal network functionality.
- Utilize monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Provide clear and timely communication to stakeholders during incidents.
- Accurately document incidents, resolutions, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Participate in a 24x7 support rotation, including on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications
You will be a good fit for this role if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk).
- Understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining monitoring tools and alerting platforms (e.g., OpsGenie, PagerDuty).
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve production issues under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions in high-stress situations.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with SIEM tools and security monitoring.
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
- Exposure to cloud environments and modern infrastructure monitoring.
- Knowledge of automation and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
