Client Advisor

About the Role

Marsh is seeking candidates for a Client Advisor in our Marine division, based in our Houston office. This is a hybrid role requiring at least three days per week in the office.

In this client-facing position, you will gain a deep understanding of clients' strategic priorities, risk strategies, and risk management needs to provide expert advice to complex clients. Your responsibilities will include identifying the need for new products, developing innovative solutions, and building/maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess client needs and devise solutions for a spectrum of risk situations.
• Engage directly with clients during meetings and proposal presentations.
• Prepare compelling client marketing messages.
• Submit coverage specifications, secure carrier quotes, bind coverage, and ensure program accuracy.
• Cultivate robust relationships with carriers and underwriters, demonstrating a strong understanding of the insurance and risk marketplace.
• Contribute to the firm's knowledge base on product lines through internal networks.
• Support client retention and new business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience, with a specialization in Marine (Hull, Liabilities, P&I, and Builders Risk).
• Possession of a P&C license or the ability to obtain one.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
