Objective of the Position
Own the client relationship, communication, and overall experience while ensuring that work is delivered on time, aligned with strategy, and executed smoothly.
Goals of the Position

- Reduce missed deadlines, confusion, and reactive work
- Proactively identify risks in both client experience and delivery
- Ensure positive client results, metrics, and outcomes
Core Responsibilities
Client Communication & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Lead monthly calls and all forms of communication
- Translate SEO strategy and performance into clear, client-friendly language
- Build trust and maintain strong client relationships
Meeting Ownership
- Run structured, effective monthly meetings
- Align on goals, review performance, and communicate next steps
- Ensure meetings are proactive and focused on forward progress
Client Experience Monitoring
- Monitor client sentiment, engagement, and satisfaction
- Identify early signs of risk (confusion, frustration, disengagement)
- Address concerns before they escalate
Project Management & Delivery Oversight
- Ensure all work is properly scoped, scheduled, and assigned in ClickUp
- Align timelines with strategy priorities and client expectations
- Monitor task progress and follow up on at-risk or overdue work
- Review deliverables before they are shared with clients
- Ensure work is complete, accurate, and aligned with strategy
- Maintain visibility into account status (completed, in-progress, at-risk work)
Internal Coordination
- Act as the connector between Account Strategists and execution teams
- Ensure strategy is clearly translated into actionable work
- Bring client context into internal discussions
Proactive Account Management
- Regularly review accounts to ensure alignment with goals
- Regularly review accounts for account performance metrics, results, and outcomes
- Identify gaps, risks, or areas for improvement
- Flag issues early and drive resolution internally
Opportunity Identification
- Identify upsell or expansion opportunities
- Surface additional needs based on client goals or gaps
Ideal Outcomes
- Clients feel confident, informed, and supported at all times
- Work is consistently delivered on time and aligned with strategy
- Fewer internal fire drills and last-minute scrambles
- Clear visibility into account health and progress
- Strong client retention and long-term relationships
Experience Required
- 2--4 years in a client-facing role (agency or similar environment)
- 2-4 years local SEO experience (agency or similar environment)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage timelines, tasks, or projects
- High organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities
- Basic to moderate understanding of SEO
- Experience with project management tools (ClickUp or similar)
Position Details
- Contract role (up to 40 hrs)
- Fully remote, US-based candidates only
- Starting $40 /hr ($83,000 /year) depending on experience
- Availability required during standard US business hours
