The Opportunity

As Maven continues to scale and our business complexity grows with multiple growth channels, cross-functional priorities, evolving products, and new AI-driven opportunities, we are seeking a Director of Strategy & Operations to guide us through this next phase.

This role is part of the Office of the CEO, offering broad visibility and impact across all major functions. While the role will adapt to evolving business needs, the initial 12 months will concentrate on AI Transformation & Organizational Intelligence, in close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.

We are shifting from viewing AI as a mere productivity tool to embracing it as the core intelligence layer that can redefine organizational structures. This is a business-focused role for individuals who possess a deep understanding of organizational dynamics, identify systemic issues, and are adept at leveraging AI to reshape how businesses operate.

This position is ideal for an emerging leader who is already immersed in the AI-native world, is passionate about organizational transformation, and is ready to operate beyond their defined title.

Key Responsibilities

Lead AI Transformation & Organizational Intelligence

  • Act as Maven's "context engineer," developing and maintaining the knowledge management infrastructure essential for effective AI agents, including documentation, decision logs, and organizational context.
  • Champion the adoption of AI across all teams by making the AI-native approach the most efficient and straightforward path.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to design systems and workflows that ensure Maven's data is consistently legible, actionable, and integrated with real-time decision-making.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities for AI to enhance speed, quality, and efficiency across clinical operations, sales, product, and member experience, and partner with functional leads on implementation and scaling.
  • Assist the leadership team in critically evaluating culture and organizational design in the AI era, focusing on where intelligence can replace coordination layers and defining optimal structures.

Help Shape Company Priorities

  • Partner with executives to define and drive Maven's most critical strategic initiatives.
  • Translate company objectives into clear, cross-functional plans with defined milestones and measurable outcomes.
  • Bring structure to ambiguous opportunities and propose actionable strategies.
  • Support leadership decision-making through rigorous analysis, sound judgment, and concise recommendations.

Drive Cross-Functional Execution

  • Lead high-priority initiatives that involve multiple teams and require strong coordination.
  • Clarify ownership, remove obstacles, and maintain momentum across functions.
  • Establish operating rhythms, reviews, and forums to ensure team alignment and rapid progress.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate information flow to relevant leaders.

Build for Scale

  • Collaborate with Finance and other leaders on annual planning, resource allocation, and organizational design.
  • Continuously enhance Maven's operational efficiency as the company grows.

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, product operations, or a high-growth technology environment.
  • A deep understanding and passion for AI's impact on work, including practical application and critical evaluation of AI tools and trends.
  • Strong business acumen, with an ability to think systemically about organizational behavior and incentives.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
  • Highly analytical, with proficiency in data analysis, modeling, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, capable of producing clear, concise documents for senior audiences.
  • A builder mindset, energized by creating new solutions and processes.
  • Low ego, high standards, and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Experience in knowledge management, internal operations, or AI tooling is a plus.
  • Experience in healthcare, benefits, or complex B2B environments is a plus.

Why This Role

This is a unique opportunity to influence a leading company in women's and family health and to help build the organization of the future. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, gain cross-functional exposure, and contribute to building innovative solutions. This role offers a significant platform for career growth into broader strategic leadership.
