We are seeking a talented individual to join our Government Human Services Consulting (GHSC) team at Mercer, a Marsh business. This can be based anywhere near a Mercer office and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
As a Senior Government Consulting Analyst, you will play a vital role as a contributing team member assisting with various projects for clients, which are primarily state Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) agencies. We will count on you to:
- Assist with taking meeting notes and following up with action items and assignments.
- Research, analyze, and present findings on various policy and program topics to project leaders and senior consultant team members.
- Provide project coordination activities and other work to support the advancement of project tasks and client deliverables.
- Review project documentation, including technical write-ups, project documentation, and executive summaries.
- Utilize internal and external resources to gain an understanding of government-sponsored health and welfare programs.
- Manage your time effectively to support a variety of state Medicaid/CHIP projects at any one time.
- Manage the quality and timeliness of client deliverables and communicate regularly and effectively with project team members.
- Assist with the preparation and timely delivery of clear and concise project team and client communications.
- Follow protocols for quality assurance.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1+ year of experience with healthcare or public health related topics (may include a combination of internships or pre-graduate experiences).
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to translate technical findings into clear, client-friendly insights.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
What makes you stand out?
- Master's degree in public health, health policy, health services research, or a related field.
- Experience with Medicaid health programs or other government-sponsored healthcare programs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to non-technical audiences.
- Experience performing technical analyses in Excel, SAS, or other data analysis tools.
- Project management and/or project leadership credentials.

Additional Information
The applicable base salary range for this role is $54,000 to $108,000, determined by experience, skills, and location.
