Job description
Summary
This role supports our Research and Development Division's BD&L Communications by managing clinical trial communications. The goal is to accelerate recruitment across priority trials and increase participant representation. Clinical trials are essential for bringing new medicines and vaccines to patients.
Key focus areas include:
- Clinical trial recruitment
- Representation in clinical trials
- General education and awareness
Reporting to: Research and Development Division Communications Location: Rahway, NJ (Hybrid role)
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic communications and project management for community engagement events.
- Develop customized communication strategies for priority clinical trial programs (CV, HIV, infectious diseases, immunology, oncology, neuro, and vaccines).
- Generate awareness among underrepresented populations via paid, earned, owned, and shared media.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to integrate trial communications into strategic planning.
- Analyze data to optimize communication tactics.
- Manage agency/vendor strategy and community activations.
- Oversee health literacy and regulatory/compliance reviews.
- Manage patient advocacy and community organization agreements.
- Lead thought leadership communications for GCTO senior leaders.
- Manage program budgets.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience
- 8-10 years of communications experience in bio/pharmaceutical or healthcare.
- 2-5 years of agency experience.

- Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple tasks.
- Strong organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and a self-starter.
- Positive, proactive approach.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical business.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish.

- Travel: 25%

- Salary Range: $173,200.00 - $272,600.00
