Catalan Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert

Details

• Type: Contract
• Compensation: $50/hour
• Commitment: 10--20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Transcribe and optimize audio and video content in Catalan, ensuring clarity and adherence to guidelines.
• Develop evaluation rubrics and grading guidelines in Catalan and English for consistent model evaluations.
• Conduct model testing and grading, providing feedback to improve Catalan audio tasks.
• Support benchmarking and quality assurance to meet Mercor's quality standards.
• Collaborate with project leads to resolve ambiguities and enhance task design.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Strong writing, editing, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Native or near-native fluency in Catalan (spoken and written) and professional fluency in English.
• Ability to transcribe and analyze Catalan audio content.
• Available to commit 10--20 hours per week.

Preferred

• College students or recent graduates.
• Background in linguistics, humanities, social sciences, journalism, or technical disciplines.
• Experience with transcription, annotation, localization, evaluation, or research workflows in Catalan.
• Familiarity with dialectal variations and contemporary usage.
• Interest in AI, language models, or applied research environments.
