Requirements
Must have:
- Extensive hands-on experience with EViews, including scripting and automation capabilities.
- Proven ability to build, estimate, and validate time-series models, especially VAR, VECM, ARIMA, and cointegration approaches.
- Strong understanding of model diagnostics, stability testing, and forecast accuracy metrics.
- Solid quantitative expertise with the ability to explain complex modeling methods clearly in writing and speaking.
- Demonstrated experience automating modeling and forecasting workflows.
- Ability to interpret economic significance from statistical outputs and present findings with insight.
- Self-motivated, detail-focused, and comfortable collaborating remotely.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in Economics, Econometrics, Applied Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience supporting central banks, policy organizations, or financial sector clients with macroeconomic modeling.
- Familiarity with other econometric tools or programming languages such as R, Python, or Stata.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced time-series models such as VAR, VECM, ARIMA, and cointegration frameworks in EViews.
- Carry out thorough model diagnostics and validation to confirm forecast reliability and robustness.
- Automate forecasting processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Convert complex statistical results into clear, actionable macroeconomic insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prepare concise written documentation of modeling methods and results.
- Work with our team to incorporate modeling outputs into broader economic narratives and policy recommendations.
- Keep up to date with macroeconomic modeling best practices and EViews software enhancements.
